VW Engine Problem?

Does anyone know the torque setting for the head bolts on a VW Polo 1993 1 litre engine.

Any additional information would be greatly appreciated.

Hi there,
You don't need to renew head bolts and torque settings are as follows,
Stage 1, 40NM
Stage 2, 60NM
Stage 3, plus 180 degrees.
Start from the middle of the head and work outwards, keeping a note on a seperate peice of paper which head bolts you have tightened.
10 4 2 6 8
7 5 1 3 9 like so

my advice is to scrap it and get a monkey piloted jet car.
