and does being secular make us a better soceity and or happier?

we are the 24th happiest country in the world, NOT one of the happiest as some may presume.

no u.k. is not most secular. what,s secularity for that you have to look india. being secular gives you better soscial security. happiness has nothing to do with secularism. these are two different aspect of life

I think that people in general experience happiness when their everyday living is peaceful. I don't think that people who espouse a religion are any happier that those who don't. I don't see any correlation. Nor do I know where you got the ranking for happiness in the UK. So I can't comment on that. Have a great day!

Where did you get the statistics for that?

I know we dont have the highest number of atheists (mores the pity) that honour goes to the sophisticated and notoriously liberal country of Sweden.

I wonder what point you're trying to make - I expect Afghanistan is one of the most religious - I wonder how happy they are when they're getting stoned for the most trivial offense.
