A few friends of mine got into a conversation with me recently about our respective sartorial habits. I wear dresses (or skirts) daily; another said she only wears such things to funerals and weddings; another said about once a week; still another said, rather forcefully, "never". What about you?

What you do or do not wear can depend on a number of factors..
You stated that you wear dress/skirts daily ~ Is that your choice, or how you were raised or part of your personal Religion??
Your other Friend stated that only to "Wedding & Funnerals" ~ Which is a definat show of respect, not only for herself but the function she is attending....Which also, goes back to her up-bringing
While you state someone who said "NEVER" ~ which makes me wonder if she understand about dignity not only for herself, but toward others & other situations...
Not to mention so JOBS require skirts/dresses/suits of all Female Employees.....
As for me....I generally wear skirts/dress on most days when I have to go out in public....but, the skirts are long, my sleves are longer ~ basically its NOT SHOW & TELL!!

I have been in the corporate world for over 20 years. I used to wear suits (jacket w/skirt), dress everyday. Now I am just more comfortable in a pants suit. I believe I wore a skirt and blouse about month ago. Of course, it also depends on what your companies "dress code" is.

I will occasionally wear skirts to the office, but not very often. I wore a skirt last weekend when my husband treated me to a lobster dinner. I'm much more comfortable in jeans, so I usually wear nice (dark) jeans that I dress up with a pretty top and cute shoes/heels.

Last time I wore a skirt was 4 months ago on holiday. Can't remember the last time I wore a dress. Trousers are so much more comfortable.

Last time I wore a skirt was in the summer time and last time I wore a dress was a couple of months ago (when I went to a formal)

I live in MI where it's very cold right now BUT.... in the summer/spring and early fall before it starts to get cold out, I wear them at least 2 to 4 times a week. More skirs, like jean skirts or ruffled. I wear them with flats or heels, depending on where I'm going. Why not look good? :)

I would definitely wear a dress/skirt to a funeral or a wedding. I usually wear them to church also. and sometimes even to work if I feel like really dressing up.

I love dressing up, but usually I'm not in the mood, so I go with jeans and snickers. I must admit I'm kind of shy when it comes to dressing up, because I'm always afraid of going to far, you know what I mean? And also, I HATE buying shoes which makes the thing even more difficult, because you can't wear sneakers with a dress, now can you? :)

It has been some time.I like to wear them but have trouble finding the right ones in my size.They just don't make very many 4 petites in inexpensive styles.I wear them more in the spring and summer rather than winter.I'd wear them at least twice a week if I could.

i love dressing up.. but the last time i wore a skirt was several months ago. i haven't really gone out in a while :-( (except for work). but once i have a reason to; i'll be sure to wear them.
