my computer at the bottom right hand corner of my computer it shows a picture of my computer. It says local area 2 little or no connectivity.Does anybody know what this means can anyone help me please thankyou.I'm on cable an modem ntl i think it is'nt my computer i think its the ntl thats wrong it just need's a ip address or looking for network. hope some one knows please thanx again hope to hear soon

Right click on the icon for the computer and click on Repair. It sounds like your connection has been dropped and you need to reinstate your IP address. I have ntl too and this happens frequently. If the above does not work, power off the pc, unplug your modem for about a minute, plug back in, wait two minutes and then reboot your pc.

power off the modem and shut down your computer for about 2 minutes. Then power the modem until the lights stabilize (about 2 more minutes), then power up your computer.

That means your network is going out. Try rebooting your cable modem, basically shut it off and turn it back on.

You might just want to restart the computer. That should give you a good conectivity. Happens when their is lots of computers hooked up to one network.

are you on a network? little or no connectivity normally means there is a network problem - normally ip address related as you said
