How long do I have to let the carpet dry after using a rug doctor cleaner?

Without using a fan, 24 hours. Use a fan to help dry traffic areas and it will reduce the time to about 4 hours. How to tell if its dry? Walk throught the area in cotton socks, if they don't get damp then the area is dry.

To dry before you walk on it?? Put you furniture back? Stay off it for the day if you have any fans I would put them on and keep the area warm and well ventilated. As for you furniture they make things to put under the feet your large items to avoid staining the damp carpet.

If you leave it for 24 hours then it should dry.
