The males aren't usually territorial. Some spray and some don't, but it's nasty when they do. Neutering will help with the spraying issue. It's non-invasive, so if you decide to get a female rabbit later for a companion, you won't have to put her through a spaying to prevent them from breeding!

The males I've known never had any hormone-based personality problems, like the females did, but they loved to spray. Because of their technique---swinging their rear ends and flicking their tails---they can get some great height and distance. Unless he's an outdoor rabbit, it's a good idea to fix him.

yes males will spray, and i have heard people saying when a rabbit is fixed he stops spraying......this isn't always true since rabbits are terrotirial even if they are fixed there intinct is to mark terrtory which is done by spraying. i have a friend who has a fixed buck and he still sprays.

We have always had rabbits and we never got them fixed. We kept all of them seperated. So I am not sure if it will cause behavioral differences, but I wouldn't worry about it unless there was a female rabbit.

I think it should really be up to whether or not you want to spend that kind of money. All animals are aggressive and spray etc but they can be trained otherwise. You just need to work a bit harder. I would say it doesn't need to be fixed, but it's completely up to you. It's not a necessity.

Speaking as a male, I'd say - HELL NO! You've already stuck him in a cage and now you want to de-ball him? That's like forcing him to get married.
