God is a spirit. Jesus said that. But there are so many definitions of spirit, how do you apply the right one? There are angels, seraphim, cherubim. creatures with features of different animals. there are spirits, demons and through all that, there was a prevailing idea of ghosts. But God is a being, not as human like we are, but a person nonetheless. And the verse says that God will not always strive with man forever. Man is flesh, but has a spirit and soul. The Bible says that Jesus is the incarnate, meaning He is what God would be if God were flesh. But God can't strive with flesh forever because flesh has been given a determined amount of time to be on this planet and eventually the flesh will die. The outer part of us really does not matter in the long run, it is the spirit and the soul that will live on, and after we die, we are remembered for what we did.

The Bible is full of supernatural events. But nothing as great as the great sacrifice that Jesus performed when he suffered and died for our sins that we might obtain forgiveness if we will place our faith in Him and do as He commanded. Then three days later He was the first to be resurrected that we all might be resurrected one day.

The flesh thing is because God lives according to a higher law than man. We choose to do things that are wrong and therefore make us ineligible to be in God's presence.

As we develop our faith in Jesus Christ and seek to repent for our sins we move closer and closer to God. When we sin and choose evil we move further away from God.

This earth is both a training ground and a proving ground. We are learning to control these fleshy bodies that God gave us. The problem is that in the flesh we have many appetites. We are here to prove that we can learn to control these appetites. Those who let the flesh control them are the reason that God cannot abide with man in the flesh.

Perhaps because God was irritated due to the constant irreverence and mishaps due to the choosing of egoistic behaviors over the altruistic behaviors and the erroneous behavior of the Sons of God to take upon themselves the lesser evolved daughters of man thus causing an error in the genetic structure of His creation.

According to various sections of the Bible, an angel visted Mary to announce Jesus's conception and angels sang of his birth. An angel told Mary Magdalene to go to Joseph's tomb. Other sections of the Bible report that angels slept with the daughters of men.

I would think all the prophets would qualify for being super natural. Super natural is a phrase we use when we don't understand how something works.

I think that Balaam's talking donkey was pretty supernatural. So were a lot of the Old Testament prophets.

Nothing super natural can be proven or disproven it seems, it's one reason it's a freaking mystery to us.
