Does anyone know where, or even if I can get an infant sized (3 mos. old) Suit and Tie outfit for a baptism? I've found a 6/9 mos. size but that's still too big. I don't want my son baptised in one of those silly gowns that look like a dress, that worked fine for our daughters, but I'd rather have something more "male" for our son.

I'm looking for the traditional "suit" look, is there anything techinically wrong with not going with all white? I understand the purity thing, but is it really a major no-no if he wears a black suit and pants with a white shirt?

have you tried somewhere like babies r us or another baby clothing store. I hope you can find one you like. Also since Easter is getting closer you may be able to find some suits at department stores. I don't know about a white one. Maybe try a flea market or somehwere like that. Good Luck!

Check out Babies R Us, Target (that's where I got one) Burlington Coat Factory
Hope that helps. We put my son in a pair of pants and then just put the gown on as a shirt. It was a handme down from me and my mother before me so that was special.
Good luck. I ended up making something for my 2 year old since we had them done together. I was not going to spend 50 bucks on some frilly white dress she would wear for an hour.

I actually got my son a little 3 piece outfit, button up shirt w/vest, pants, and a little tie from Walmart. I was a bridesmaid in a wedding and he was my date for the evening. He looked so cute. He was only 3 1/2 months old at the time

I got my eldest son a baptism suit (it was shorts, a shirt and vest in white satin and cotton) from JcPennys, however, that was almost eight years ago. I have been looking online for my youngest (who is seven months) there are several on eBay (all white as well as traditional suits), but also I have heard, haven't looked, that you can get them at Target and Walmart and the larger Sears stores. I know that they do have the traditional style pants, white shirt. vests, ties at JcPennys (in my area anyway) Best of luck to you.

Gowns are the traditional thing for both sex's. Even Prince William and Harry wore a gown

I think they have these at JCPenney. I also saw some small suits at Babies R Us. Easter is only 3 months away so I know stores are starting to stock these now...
Also, he doesn't have to wear white (in my opinion) - I think a little suit is fine even if it is black.
Happy shopping!

Try JC Penney.....I swear they have all that kind of stuff and they are well priced!!!!!
I shop there ALOT these days, in the baby dept, and they usually have a section with baptismal clothes, gift items and things you wouldnt think that they carry.....or even check their website!!
Seriously, try Penney's....

I've seen them at Walmart, but I'm not sure that they always carry them.
