I have a hard time picking this one myself. I loved John Belushi for his over-the-top performances like the Samurai and his editorial spots on "Weekend Update." He was so physical and his face was so expressive! I also loved Phil Hartman who was just amazing in his ability to form these characters. He just had such a natural flair for comedy.

Who do you feel was the funniest and why?

I feel a little disloyal in my choice cuz John Belushi is like the king of SNL but I really luv Cheri Oteri the skits with her being the pill popping pharmacist's nightmare killed me!! and of course Eddie Murphy was hilarious in anything he did "Can you say Eviction boys and girls" those were the days huh?

I really liked the early cast members the best. Jane Curtin, Dan Akroyd, Gilda Radner, Chevy Chase, Bill Murray, John Belushi, etc. The comedy was so simple and extremely funny and entertaining.

Later I thoroughly enjoyed Phil Hartman, Eddie Murphy, Dana Carvey, and Martin Short. Their recurrent characters were some of my absolute favorites. Church Lady, Mr. Robinson's Neighborhood, Ed, and everything Phil Hartman did.

Currently I thoroughly enjoy Darrell Hammond. He does Bill Clinton and Chris Matthews like he's a clone.

Ya, Phil Hartman, was an extremely gifted comedian. His murder was a terrible loss for us all.
I always really enjoyed Dennis Miller doing "Weekend Update" - his little remarks and facial expressions while doing the news, never failed to break me up.

Hands down Chris Farley! He put all of his energy into any role he played. He had a tendency to crack up while doing the skits and that made it all the more funny. I liked the fact that he was comforable with who he was and it was a true tragedy when he died.
Mike Meyers and Dana Carvey are tied for second...LOVE Waynes World!

If I had to pick, it would be John. His talent was God-given.
