I have nothing in particular in mind, but people must have opinions.

What threat (of any kind) is out there that our government should be addressing, but isn't? Is there something you fear, that we all may be wondering five to ten years from now why we didn't address?

This should be interesting . . .

My first thought was the return to complacency about terrorism on our soil. I think too many people have fallen for the idea that Bush has somehow magically decreased the threat of terrorism on our soil by policing a civil war in Iraq that has squat to do with terrorism, but gets connected to it anyway through the spin machine. I was glad to hear Hillary Clinton suggest we need to increase the troops in Afghanistan to deal with the Taliban rather than wasting them in a futile effort in Baghdad. Just to know someone is actually paying attention to the real base and large cells of terrorism gave me some hope. Our ports are still poorly monitored and our borders are porous and easily crossed. While we fight terrorism abroad, we grow complacent that it won't return to our shores and I think that's a huge mistake. If it hadn't been for Scotland Yard this past year we would already have seen a large scale attack when multiple planes blew up over the skies of the Atlantic. People were quick to put that behind them and few seem to care to remember it happened a short time ago. I think it's madness on our part to think this Administration has made us safer when terrorist cells are growing at a never before seen rate all over the world, not just in the Middle East. Bush's War has incited new fresh hatred for us all over the world and that has led to thousands of new terrorists eager to bring us all destruction and death over their hatred of America.

Of course I do not wish anything to happen on our soil. I wish I could believe the hype, but I'm not given to ignoring reality.

The border.
America is all talk and no action on this issue.

Hundreds of illegals are crossing the border but the media has everyone bickering about the plight of Mexicans- what is to prevent a terrorist from slipping across with other illegals ?
Will it matter then where this jerk called home?
Will the media take some of the heat? Let me answer that one with a big HELL NO .
But they will be there to crucify everyone else.

We must confiscate all OPEC oil and bankrupt petroterrorism. Anything less is treason, but Dubai Dubya and Texxon want to piggyback off high oil prices. Countries that care about their own people rather than the international cartel of big businesses can also annex Moslem oilfields, especially China taking Indonesia's.

The Texxon Protectorate of Saudi Arabia originated the 9/11 attacks, which were its goal ever since price-gouging started in 1973 in order to finance this latest jihad. The entire Saudi royal family must be assassinated. Their oil is mined, but special forces should be able to cut the wires. Anything less is treason.
What really gushes out of the sand there is the blood of all infidels. The Wolf is at the door, its fangs dripping with oil. Islam must be quarantined and stripped of its economic power.

In my opinion, the biggest threat to this country is our out of control spending.

And people do nothing about it. Its like the proverbial frog in the slowly heating water.

When the democrats foolishly decide to pull our troops out of Iraq and bring them home, those Islamic fundamentalists are going to follow them HERE. We will still be fighting the same war and we will still be losing more and more troops as well as civilians because we will be fighting them on OUR soil and in OUR towns and cities. You have to understand, they want us ALL dead because we do not believe in their form of religion. The Islamic citizens of this country may be spared, but I seriously doubt it because they are not part of the jihad. They are not fighting the holy war over here. This is a war that will probably never end. Now is the time all good Americans should arm themselves for the coming battles that will rage on American soil.

I think it has to be the fact that the war is still going on. The money can be spent here for better reasons: education, reconstruction, lower crime rates, environment awareness, etc.
