The best thing I have ever found to clean my floors is slightly diluted ammonia. You need to be careful about breathing in fumes, but ammonia really cuts anything that is making your floor dingy, dirty or has floor cleaner build up on it. I used to have a "white-white" tile floor in my kitchen and two black labs that helped keep it dirty. Using ammonia to mop it helped so much. After I cut all the dirt and grime that way I'd use Brite floor cleaner over it to make it shiny. It's extra work but it'll look great afterward.

What kind of tile is it? It matters so you won't damage the floor. I used "Easy Off" oven cleaner on my bathroom linoleum floor and it cleaned it really well.
