What do they mean when they ask what is your average menstrual cycle length? I period usually last me 5 days

the average cycle length is from the start of one period to the next. mine are 32 days long

Your cycle is from the first day of your period to the day before your next period, it is usually 28-32 days, everyone is different

it means how long between each do they come. for example.. One of my friends come every 21 days witch in average it comes every 28 days.
