Yes they are both high end boats and I have delivered both. I like the styling of the SeaRay better but would have to say I think the Cobalt pays more attention to details and innovations and features that would set it apart in a side by side comparison.

I would like to know what year these boats are, plus what type of engine, in board or out board. The Searay is usually what is known as a run about. The Cobalt is usually a fishing boat but not always like a Searay. They are both fiber glass and it is a preference thing. Anyone who has had trouble with a Searay or Cobalt will tell you they aren't worth the money. However if you really want to know look it up in consumer report. Like any vehicle with a motor in it its the maintenance that matters the most. You should change the water pump in an out board ever few years if your in salt water. You need to flush it with fresh water too after each use. I mean right after you get home don't wait till the next day as by then the salt will do the damage. If you looking to buy from a dealer check them out. If your buying from a privet party then take someone you trust that knows something about boats with you. Also look very close at the boat and motor new paint can cover a lot of trouble. You should know the difference in a vehicle that has been taken care of or one that has been ignored. I wish you good luck...

They simply make more Sea-Rays so they may lack a bit of detail
compared to a newer outfit like Cobalt. They are both very nice and according to one dingbat that answered below, Sea rays are NOT one step above Baygrinders. Gawd! Try a new 60 footer on fer size. They go for over 2.5 mil. I would trust a boat company like Brunswick that builds on the ocean rather than in Kansas anyday.

Cobalt it a better boat. What I've heard is that Sea Ray, Cobalt, and Crownline are the top boat manufacters. Crownline and Cobalt are made to very strict standards. Sea Ray, Regal, and Fourwinns are next. Other boat manufactuers are great boats, but they aren't made to such strict standards.

well you have to remember sea-ray is just one step up from bay-liner so its not intended to be a rich mans boat but they are pretty tight boats now you must have a older one

Cobalt,by far. it's hand laid, and built under very strict quality control. If you don't believe me, come to Neodesha,Kansas, and watch them build one !
