The NFL wouldn't even let Britney appear in a commercial this year, while her ex actually gets to make fun of himself in a Nationwide ad.
Either way, halftime is a time for eating, grabbing another beer/drink, and using the bathroom. The halftime show is meaningless, and I wish they'd just keep it at about 12 minutes.

I know I cant believe that they got Prince to do the Half time show! What were they thinking? That is so 1980's! Could they not get some body from this decade? Ill be changing the channel! I want to watch football! Not Prince!

I was watching the replay of SB XXXVI last night...Pats v. Rams...and U2 doing their halftime 9/11 remembrance. That was a decent half time show.
Prince, I suspect, will be somewhat lacking to that...but I think they are starting to get away from the extravaganza idea like the one you're suggesting. After stripper-gate with Timberlake and Janet, I'm betting they will stick with older mainstream bands who are likely to keep their clothes on for a number of years.

the superbowl halftime show has always not been the best - i think u can find hte list of who performed on superbowl.com - but anyway the last few years have been abismal - i dont know wtheck they are thinking its upright retarted....prince, shiana twain, rollin stones was alright, that stupid janet and jt mtv show, paul mccartny...the list goes on and on its horrible

Don't worry Prince usually has babes who are way hotter than the two people you mentioned in his shows. There will surely be nice eye candy with Prince.
