I am not affiliated with, nor do I agree with all the policies of, any party of our government. We should have never gotten envolved with Iraq to begin with. Unfortunately we did and now we have no choice but to stick it out and do whatever it takes to finnish the job that we started. We have created a mess that we are obligated to fix. The only way to fix that problem is to do whatever it takes to stabilize there government. The more we piss and moan and delay doing things the longer it will take to complete the task before us. If we want this to be over as soon as possible we should support sending over whatever the leaders of our troops in Iraq need to complete this task. They have said from the git go that they need more troops to be able to secure the situation. Quit postponing the inevitable and send them what they need or the situation will not change. If we are going to fight a war we need to fight a war with all our strength and get it over with sooner. The only way to succesfully fight a war is for the people that are not there and don't know what the hell they are talking about to stay out of the way and let the military leaders do what they are trained and paid to do. Government burrocrates that are not even there should support there troops and stay the hell out of the way. That was the problem in Vietnam and that is the problem in Iraq. Does our government not learn from its misstakes? We have the most powerfull military in the world and they are seriously strugling to keep ahead of the situation in Iraq because they are not alowed to do so. If they say they need more manpower then give it to them. Its pretty simple. The quicker we give them what they need to finish the job the sooner they can come home. What is so hard to understand about that. The longer put off giving them what they need the longer they will be there. Its just common scence. The gound leaders in Iraq have been saying from the git go that they need more troops. Instead of giving them what they need, we just keep complaining about them being there. Well they are there and the only way they will get to come home sooner is to finish the job. If they say we need 20,000 more troops, send 50,000 more and get the job done sooner. Send 100,000 if neccisary and finish it now. There is nothing that can stop this nation if we all are behind our troops and give them what they ask for.

Really, party affiliation should not determine if you would like to see President Bush's Iraq plan succeed.
The logical conclusion if you do not want the President's plan to succeed is that you want it to fail. That is a very small minded view of things, and dangerous to our security.
It's not just the President that fails or succeeds, and that is something that many of the anti George Bush people fail to recognize.

If Bush's plan to succeed in Iraq includes peace for the citizens of that nation, then naturally I want him to succeed. I also want lower gas prices, cheaper direct flights, Osama captured, a stimulating debate (w/o name calling) with a conservative, a lower mortgage, an end to global warming, and birds to stop crapping on my car!! Therefore, I'm not holding my breath.

Absolutely. Winning means democracy for Iraq (which in turn, keeps us safer).
I think most who are against it don't want to lose (although there are plenty of nuts out there who do) but just think there's a better way in winning. Unfortunately the only plan they've offered has been to run away. Terrorism, just like any other problem, can't go away by us ignoring it, nor can it go away by us waiting it out and hope they give up. In my humble opinion, I think we need to grab terrorism by the throat and kill it off as best as possible before it's too late. We did that with Nazism (obviously there are still Nazis around, just as terrorism would still be around after the war, just not in big numbers).
What makes this war harder as oppose to the Nazis is that the terrorists are willing to blow themselves up if it means killing another with them. Nazis actually valued their own lives.

Sorry for going too off topic, but in turn yes I want the plan to succeed as I see it as leaving us in a far better position than we would be if we lost.

No, I hope the US loses the war so that Americans learn that they can't bully and control the world.

In the same way that we bullied around Nazis or controlled the world then? And losing the war means the death of more troops, more terrorism, and higher morale for terrorists.
In other words, the terrorists would agree with your assertion very much.

Nope, that's a LBJ pass. we can be there till Jesus makes a centred visitor visual allure on the Apollo. they are attempting to apply a stripped down version of the Powell doctrine. Secretary Powell became out to be top as quickly as back. i will in no way understand why he went on the loopy area.

I am in favor of ANY plan that can succeed at this point. Politics has nothing to with it when people are dying. I am a Democrat that prays every day that there will be a good outcome to all of this..

I would like to see this war end peacefully and I have no party affiliation, I'm not too sure you should be asking that either. I mean does it really matter, unless of course you needed a stastic.
