I was going to buy a Dyson 07 All Floors vacuum, but many people are saying it is not worth the money.

I've had my Electrolux for 35 years, but I'm moving into a new house with tile floors and only 3 rooms of carpeting. I've always loved the bags in my cleaner because it's so easy to take out and throw away. I too am looking for a new one. maybe i'll get another Electrolux

Personally I think the price is too high also. But they are touting themselves as the top of the top end and the only way to convince the public is the steep price. ie some will buy it because of the price.

The other thing I am not convinced about is the bagless feature of all the new machines. You don't have the expense of buying the bags, but the filter changed once or twice a year will more than make up for it. Also, they are very dirty to empty. You had better do it outside and up wind. With the bag, remove it and toss it in the trash.

For your floors, I would go with a good canister with a power head rather than an upright For one thing you can get a good one for less than an up right. Another thing, they are easier to get around and under objects with.

I have both kinds of floors and all I use is a dust mop. I get all the dirt in one area and then use my Dust Buster to suck it up. I then use a wet mop to clean floor. It really works well.
