I am going to a get together at a place called Sound bar, downtown Chicago. What is trendy at the moment? I have an idea of what color patterns to go with, but I'm a bit confused on the rest. My taste is usually a bit conservative but I am looking to be trendy yet sophisticated. I am in my mid twenties and I don't want to look like a teenager (no offense to any teenagers, but I am bit old to wear a pink tee that says cutie or something to that effect.) Please help!

U can't go wrong with a "little black dress". It's elegant, it's trendy (never goes out of style), it's not cutesy, and it's classy yet conservatively trendy.

I say yea the little black dress idea but since the time of year it is. You might want to do slacks I was just in Chicago a couple of weeks ago. I wore some black slacks with a very thin silver stripe down them and a cute silver top.
I also accessorized it with a long beaded necklace, chandelier earrings and a fuzzy scarf with silver and black in it. I bought it all at Kohl's under 100. dollars
I got a lot of compliments on it

I wish I could help you,but I am fourteen and do have a pink tee shirt with a kitty on it that says cutie! Thats funny! But I have heard that big floral prints are in,as are bright colors,and some vinatge peices are supposed to be in too. Good luck! Are you sure you dont want my "Cutie" shirt? Just kidding! :)

my best advice is that girls really do look at your jeans i know that may sound stupid but jeans say alot or even slacks. You can tell a pair of levis from a pair Designer jeans. I'd say go to Macy's or Nordstroms and pick out a pair of jeans with a nice fade that fit DONT SAG but dont wear nothin that are to tight get a good fit. Match that with a nice button up, and some black shoes your set. designers I would look for LRG for a young look, True Religion, or Evisu. good luck

they are going to card because they and the employee will get fined if they get caught not carding an underage person. I don't know what it is in Illinios, but in Washington a few years ago it was $500 for the waitress, $1000 for the establishment. Plus they get put on probation.

well I a m assuming you are a girl(reference to the pink tee), so I would say go with something comfy, pick out a nice skirt(dress pants if you'd be more comfortable), a nice blouse, and dress it up with the accessories.
