Is there a tip required?
Bowl of Rice and Warm Bed sounds non-inclusive to me.

Only tip if the job is performed to your expectations. If you cannot affford the tip then use your plight to tug the ronin's heartstrings. Deep down some ronin do what they do because it is right and they do what others cannot. Believe it or not, a hungry ronin will do many things for food. A warm bed also does wonders for one who wanders.

I might try to rent a ronin to preform the rumba wearing pampers preserving a wal-mart krafted katana and while that bandit denies my benign present I pays him in beatings for eternity. Mwaahhahaha.
