On the bright side he WON'T be chancellor, and is possibly not as untrustworthy as Tony Blair. He would only be better I think if he pulled the troops out of Iraq and the replacement chancellor was less keen to put high taxes on lower earners. So probably not much better, but probably not worse either.

Just remember that in the past almost ten years Brown has gone along with every one of Bliars ideas plus thought up a few of his own. This includes going along with the war against Iraq which he is now trying to wriggle out of responsibility for.
According to financial papers we are now overall the most heavily taxed people in Europe.
Brown will put one of his 'stooges' in as Chancellor if he becomes PM so nothing will really change. Anybody who thinks we will be paying less of his punitive taxes is living on another planet.

He may make a bit more money out of us. So he could do better for himsel, having had the purse strings so long, but his wife may not be as shrewd or as money grabbing as tony's. That's a hard one.
He may not be elected though so he may never be PM but he should have made enough from his present job. I know that I have been overcharged & have overpaid.

Hmmmm each politician is as bad as the other regardless of what Office they hold !!
It's the media moguls who actually run the country - along with the many hidden mandarins behind closed doors.
Gordon Brown will become yet another puppets for these mandarins and media moguls to yank his strings to comply with thier bidding.
Sorry to burst your bubble !!
Just look - Gordon is backing Shilpa for goodness sake instead of backing a British-born citizen - even if it is Jade -.. what does that tell you - other than he has passed with flying colours his PC course in the Westminster Academy for all politicians !!!
Shipa's own inner strength and serenity will carry her through whatever Jade and her gang could hurl at her, and she KNOWS this, because she is NOT stupid.
The PHOTOCALL is EVERYTHING for any politician... Gordon Brown has just proved that !! by prioritising and backing Shilpa - irrespective that it might have been his private choice..
I'm worried about his Cultural priorities for UK...given Scotland devolution...followed by Wales with N.I. bringing up in the rear... not to forget, Yorkshire and Cornwall wanting to rule thier own country and break free from "direct rule"...
Hmmmm
