What if people lie on their resume?

I think sometimes Interviewers overlook the resume and
hire people based on their looks.

The resume is for getting the interview; the interview is for fleshing out what's on the resume. If you lie and get caught, you're not getting that job.

If you lie on your resume, you run the risk of getting caught in case your boss opts to check up on you. Especially if you lie about being qualified for something you aren't, they will find out eventually when you get hired and can't perform your duties.

You'll probably get fired in the long run, unless you are really lucky. Resumes are supposed to sum up your intentions, experience, education and strengths so that they can see if you are fitted well for the position. If you lie, you're setting yourself up to fail.

Don't lie, and look for a job that you are qualified for.
