You're best bet is to go to AKC.org and find a breeder in your area. That way, you'll make sure you have a quality, healthy bulldog!
Pet stores support puppy mills and sell sickly, badly bred dogs!

You can buy a Bulldog from a breeder. If you go this route, be sure to get one from a reputable breeder and not from a Backyard breeder or one from a pet store that sells dogs. They come from puppy mills and are prone to having health problems. Also, they aren't a guaranteed purebred.
You can also adopt a bulldog from a breed specific rescue group or even the ASPCA or animal shelter in your town.
There are different types of bulldog breeds also: the Old English Bulldog, the English Bulldog, the French Bulldog and Toy Bulldog.
Do a lot of research and find out if this breed is right for you and if it fits into your lifestyle before you go and get one.

A pet shop is not something i would recommend because these puppies may be raised in puppy mills and come with several problems. Bulldogs are prone to health issues so its better if you get from a breeder so you can see how healthy your pup's parents are.

Look in the news paper and buy one. They are very expensive. Or you can go to a pet shop and they will find a breeder.
