Randy's right. Hexagon tanks are impractical because they are so tall (unless you have fish that need a tall tank - but cories don't), which means that the floor space is very limited.
Cories need a lot of ground area, as they are ground dwellers and spend most of their time just above the gravel.
If you want a school of cories, the minimum tank size would be 20 gallons. In a 10 gallon hex tank, you're really limiting your options - you will even have to limit your mid-to-upper level fish, because they will have less horizontal swimming room (which is most important for most fish).

I'm going to say no and here's why. Corydoras catfish stay on the bottom of the tank and a hexagon tank is very tall. Therefore there is not much area on the bottom of the tank for them. If you want corys get that many in a regular 10 gallon or better yet a 20 gallon long. If you're stuck with the hex get something like some tetras or danios that will be better suited for it.

relies upon in case you opt for it to advance to finish length, and stay for the ten or so years that it would want to. In sturdy situations that little goldfish ought to become a huge obese 6" fish, and that is the position the suggestion of 20 gal for one comes from. positive human beings placed them in a million gal tank or bowls, and are surprised even as they dangle to existence for six months. Sorry, yet it truly is a fish holding fail. slightly one goldfish will be completely ok in a 10gal, for a three hundred and sixty 5 days or 2. Then it truly is going to likely be a medium length goldfish, and get excitement from some better area. So it relies upon how some distance you're searching into the destiny... a number of my fish are 10 years previous now, because I planned ahead and were given a huge adequate tank. in case you in reality have the gap/money for 10gal, it truly is nice, yet there are extra useful alternatives of fish. White Cloud Minnows are a small chilly water fish. you could save a collection of them in a 10gal, and they're going to stay thankfully and perchance even breed. No harder to take care of then a goldfish, yet with an man or woman length of in reality slightly over an inch, they wont outgrow the tank. Ian

that would be great for them since they are schoolers. they stay small so youd never have to upgrade your tank to a larger one. my cories hide alot but i also have a very large tank with around 40 fish in it. i do suggest a few lil things for them to play in though.

That should be fine, just make sure you have lots of places for them to hide on the bottom of the tank. they like that.

With adequate filtration , you will have safe fish. The cory is a fairly hardy little catfish (so I have found) , so it should be fine.

yup -- corys like to work in groups -- so always keep at least 3 -- they get overly timid and can stress themselves to death if you keep them alone.
