When I was really depressed (for about 2 years-- butI found peace with God so I feel much better), I feel like I hurt a lot of people. I didn't pay much attention in class, and I didn't turn in a big homework assignment. I feel like I hurt my teacher, the teacher seems to want to keep distance with me and looks sad when he sees me. Things with my family are fine, but mostly with people at my school are not. What can I do to show that I'm sorry?

I was also very negative to people...do you think they got angry with me or they understood that I wasn't being myself?

Your teacher sounds sad because he is sad for you.

Why don't you just tell people (including your teacher) exactly what you just told YA? You were depressed and, when you weren't yourself, you hurt the person and you are sorry. Then try to do better, a little bit at a time.

Most people go through depressions and they will understand. The most important thing is for you to take the lead so that you feel better about yourself.

I am no professional, but if I were in your situation and i felt that i needed to fix things with people that i may have hurt, I would simply go to the people and explain the situation, and appologize. I think if you simply tell the person, that you were having problems out of your control, now you have a handle on it, but you feel like you need to appologize to the people you may have hurt, i believe you will find that it will be easier than you think. And in the end, you may gain some very supportive and understanding friends. Friends you may not know you have, that are keeping thier distance because they currently feel that you alienated and pushed them away. I say swallow your pride and go for it. Its never too late to apologize and make peace in your world. Good luck!

this sounds like more of a social problem then depression. seems like you want to make up for what you lost throughout your bad times.. just be more free to talk to people... talk to any1.. when its appropriate.. and people will see your change and be supporting of it. Afraid? i used to be afraid until i did it, now i dont believe in fear, its just stupid... Flirting with people always makes you feel good =) become a flirt and youll feel good. When youre driving in your car, be like "Yo ima pimp **** u guys that dont like me, lol" then turn ur music up full blast, lean back in your seat, and just glide. thats what i do.. life is good. w/e..

let other people see your change instead of just yourself.

yes, you should explain that to them. nothing more is necessary, appropriate or possible than an explanation and a simple appology.
