Yes, write your name on a paper label and put on the pen. Put some cellophane tape on top of the paper label so it will not come off easily. If the pens have caps, take them off and put them in your desk.

If you see your pens on his desk or someone else desk, pick it up and return it to your desk.

Ok here's the thing. this is your boss. This is the person who, I imagine, can give you a raise or not, or fire you or not. Do you really want to complain to him/her about taking pens? Taking people's pens happens in every office between everyone. If you're bringing expensive pens from home, then stop. If not, hold your tongue. You'll only ook childish if you label your pens to make an obvious point that you want to embarrass your supervisor. I'm sure there's a way to get more pens.

Put them in your desk drawer and lock them up. I don't know if your desk drawers use keys but if they do then that is what I suggest you do. You could even try using a marker to make a particular mark on your pens so that there will be no mistaking that the pens are yours. If all this fails, have a talk with him/her and tell them that you don't appreciate them taking your pens.

Who's paying for the pens? You, personally? Or, are they company property?

If company property, not worth fighting the boss for them.

Keep them in your desk drawer, out of sight. Or, wear shirts with pockets and keep them theyre.

We used to stick a small piece of masking tap around the top with our name on it. It works because if the "thief" peels the tape off the pen remains sticky - it is a dead give away that they "borrowed" it from you.

Buy very girly ones with feathers on them, or decorate them with wibbly bells so he won't want to pinch them.

Tie pencils and pens to your diaries and workbooks on your desk.

You could also buy personalised pens with your initials on them.

A cost effective way would be to put a label (such as suggsted with paper and cellotape) and basically then it would be:

1)less ikely to be taken
2)Obviously yours if it is taken

good luck :)
