there was definetley a line there but it was so faint that you could hardly see it.what does this mean, am i pregnant or not?

i definetley do want to be pregnant , been trying for 18 months with no luck,so i hope i am this time.

You dont ever get a false positive only a false negitive!
I think that if there is a line no matter how faint then yes you are pregnant!
I would suggest you wait a few days then do anyother test first thing in the morning as at this time your urine is more concentrated and therefore the HGC hormone is easier detected by a test.
Im pretty sure you are though so congratualtions!

hi i know exactly how u feel i was 2 days late wen i did a hpt and it also came back with a very very faint line i did 1 the next day and the day after that and they came back the same so on the 6th day i went 2 the pharmacy and put 1 in there the pharmacist had 2 do 2 for me as they both came back very faint but she said she would bet on her life that i was so 2 days later i bought another hpt and my god was there a line there so all im trying 2 say is that it can take a while for a line to show up prominent i am 7wks now . good luck and i hope you are ;)

The positive line is really faint. Is this okay? An HPT tells you exactly one thing: your urine either has detectable pregnancy hormone in it, or it doesn't. The darkness or lightness of a line doesn't mean much. Generally speaking, a very light line can mean there is a small amount of hCG in your urine, and a very dark line can mean there is a larger amount of hCG in your urine. This is why you may get a faint positive at 10 DPO but a darker positive at 18 DPO. However, this is not always true. Tests are all different, and even tests in the same box may differ in sensitivity. Comparing light/dark lines will just drive you nuts. If you see a line in the "results" window, you're preg!

Even if there is only a faint line it probably means your pregnant. Do the test again in about a week and I bet the line will be much easier to see. Congratulations

A faint line is "weakly positive," which means just barely.
A person gets this kind of result when there is a very low level of HCG. This probably just means you are very early. In some cases it can mean that it is not a viable pregnancy, and that a miscarriage is about to happen. I don't mean to scare you, because that's probably NOT what's happening. Just check it again in a few days.

a faint line is still a line. the same thing happened to me so i bought another test, another faint line appeared. The doctor told me you cannot have a false positive pregnancy test only false negatives. Sounds like you may be pregnant

girl u are def pregnant if thier was 2 lines even if it was faint..hope this is what u wanted. but to make sure go get a blood test in about a wek or so.good luck

Well if i was you and you are not sure i would take another test or go to the doctors and have them do a blood test that way you can find out if you are or are not pregnant.
