It depends on who you work for, where you work, and what kind of animals you treat. If you work in a private practice with other vets you could make about $2,500 a month, give or take, if you work as a vet for, say, a horse farm that breeds and races top notch race horses you could potentially make 3 or 4 times that or more...

To the smart a.ss below: I happen to know someone that makes that little. It's called PART TIME! 1) If you are SOOOO smart you should have been able to figure that out. 2) You shouldn't make assumptions because then you are the one that looks like a moron.

It really depends on where you will be practicing as well.

Average hours per week: 50
Average starting salary: $50,000
Average salary after 5 years: $80,000
Average salary after 10 to 15 years: $100,000
So per month, you would at first be earning around $4000.

This is what I found on princeton review about it. The salary expert narrows it down to the town or city you will most likely be practicing in.

$2500 a month? are you kidding? Do you really think people go to college for four years and then veterinary school for four years to make 36,000 a year? please. Most vets make 6 digits, but the low six digits. Horse vets do make considerably more. normal cat and dog vets make less.

my assumption would be that they make about 5000 a month depending on what clinic they work at and how many people go to them regarding their pets.
