I agree, I was just watching cold pizza and everyone was picking the saints for this sunday. What do the bears have to do to prove themselves? They beat the seahawks twice this year. Beat the giants and the jets earlier in the year. They also went 5-1 in the conference...yeah I know overall its one of the lower conferences in football but still. How many other teams went 5-1 in their conference? The defense and Devin Hester have overcome Rex Grossman so many times I don't know how you can just dismiss these guys. I hear everyone saying ooooh deuce and bush and drew brees are just gonna score all over the defense. Ok, yeah shaun alexander had his way with the defense last week but Matt Hasselback with that big 4 wide receiver scheme sure didn't do a whole lot last week and the seahawks have better receivers.

Just because you have a lot of wins doesn't mean you'll go far in the playoffs. The Colts had 14 wins last year and went 13 games before losing a single game, then lost the very first game in the play-offs. The Bears almost carbon copied last year's Colts.
If an announcer doesn't give a team much respect, there is normally a reason why. And that reason for Chicago is one name: Rex Grossman. Yeah, Chicago won that game against Seattle, but it was anything but pretty. And Rex Grossman's game was pretty....pretty ugly to be more precise. If he hadn't have gotten halfway lucky and completed that 30 yard pass in overtime he'd have almost single-handedly brought the entire Bears team down.
Rex Grossman has the worst quarterback rating in the NFL. He has a great defense. And that defense is the only reason the Bears do that well with that bad of a quarterback. That doesn't mean the Bears can't win the Superbowl with a bad quarterback. I mean Terry Bradshaw has the record for the most Superbowl wins by any quarterback and he hardly ever threw for a 300 yard game, let alone a 400 yard game like what is common today. But he had the Pittsburgh Iron Curtain to back him up.
Rex Grossman is a severe liability when you start going against teams of the quality of New Orleans, New England, and Indianapolis. You're going to have to be able to score or at least keep the game close till the 4th quarter. You can't expect to keep winning playoff games when your quarterback keeps going 3 and out or keeps throwing a bunch of interceptions.
Each game gets harder. The Bears need to step it up or they'll be thinking all spring and summer about what could have been.
And yes, as one person mentioned, the Bears had a very easy schedule this season. They played like 2 tough teams. Almost all of the teams they played had sub 0.500 records. That's not saying much.

the above poster is VERY VERY wrong. He does not have the worst passer rating in the NFL. That 30 yard pass in overtime was not luck. Stop watching ESPN bro, you eat it all up and regurgitate everything they say. Listen to someone with no east coast bias on ESPN, like Jim Rome. He actually says intelligent things about Rex Grossman.

Part of the problem is Terrell Owens isn't on their roster...and ESPN loves TO.
However, the Bears are so mediocre on offense that I think most experts would be expecting the Saints to win on Sunday...hard to blame them with how poorly Grossman has played.

The East coast SPorts Network hates all Chicago teams. Michael Wilbon of PTI is the only exception. Get used to it.

thomas is an idiot. id rather go to prison than watch a miami heat game. i hate miami. i also hate san diego chargers and that f*ggot LT. as much as i like the bears even though they do kinda suck. i am going for either new england or colts. patriots have 3 championships and a lot of playoff experience, they will probably win.

Well, they have the EASIEST schedule in the NFL, the Quarterback is spotty at best, the defense is beginning to be spotty, they play in the softest division in the league (yes it's even softer than the NFC west).
