I want to go to London Zoo; what's the best public transportation endpoint for getting there?

I work at London Zoo. The nearest is Camden Town (about 10 minute walk). Regent's Park is about 15 minutes up through the park, which is a nicer walk. However, I think Regents Park station is closed for refurbishment at the moment.
Or the 274 bus goes from Baker St to the zoo.

Camden Town is the nearest tube station to ZSL London Zoo with its Northern Line connection. * Exit the station on the right-hand side and walk along Parkway * Continue walking up Parkway for about 6 minutes until you reach Prince Albert Road * Turn right into Prince Albert Road and continue for about five minutes until you reach the traffic-light controlled pedestrian crossing * Cross left here and walk over the Regent's Canal footbridge * Turn right and ZSL London Zoo is then 200 metres up the road on the left-hand side. Or get a bus from Camden Town Station/Greenham Stop: T Take the 274 towards Lancaster Gate

Depends where you're coming from and which line you want to use. Baker Street, Great Portland Street, St Johns Wood, Mornington Crescent, Regents Park and Chalk Farm Station are all pretty close. London Zoo is in Regents Park (north side).

Regent's Park.

Visit the excellent Transport for London website (http://www.tfl.gov.uk ) and you'll be able to use their Journey Planner to enter your starting point and end point. It will then show all of the transport options you have, timetables and how long it takes you to walk from the stop to the Zoo!
