And a bicycle on the boy's birthday ....

Great song, which I shall now have in my head all evening.

Edit: if anyone wonders what on earth I'm on about, it's a lyric from "Shipbuilding" by Robert Wyatt (and covered by Elvis Costello - or was it the other way around?) The song is about an upsurge in the UK shipbuilding industry, thanks to the Falklands war - a depressed industry was given a boost, but potentially at the cost of lives. Very thought-provoking.

Well it is cold outside. But your wife may be useful. Hmm... ask them for a scarf too. A new winter coat, a scarf and some shoes would be a good trade for your wife. The coat and shoes alone are a good offer but not quite worth enough for the trade to be worth it.

That's not a very good swap for a loving wife. On the other hand, if she doesn't like you then you're better off with the shoes & coat.

Jeese wot else does the demanding woman want?

As you will see from the female answers they not only want a coat & shoes.... they want a scarf and more!

I think it is. If you put thought into the gift, then I think she'll be happy.
