Looking for info on umatilla, oregon. What type of town/city is it? Upscale and cute? Low end and trashy? Somewhere in the middle? A growing area or stagnant? Culturally diverse or homogenus? What's the geography of the area? Would you live there? If not, why?

Hmmm, not sure how to answer.
Here is wikipedia page ... has all the fact info .... it's 73% white and 32% hispanic, and the rest varied.

No, I wouldn't live there. It's in the middle of the desert ... although it's along two rivers, and a very pretty setting. I would say it is lower middle to lower income ... but not really trashy at all.

Any decent shopping would be across the river into washington. It's a kind of sparse area. If you are into ranches, and horses, and a typical western style of life and don't mind the desert area type, then you might like it fine.

Me, I like lush green, lots of trees, and plenty of mountains. :) and you won't find too much of those there. It's quiet though!
