Is it therapeutic to you?

I just love teddy bears! Started hand-making them a couple of years ago, and I just totally fell in love with the whole idea of hand-made bears. Making them yourself is definitely therapeutic. Unfortunately I stopped when I became a mommy (time!), but will give it a go again as soon as I've got more time on my hands. My favourite (international) teddy artist is Deb Canham - her bears are absolutely amazing, and the little dragons is just plainly a work of art. Locally my favourite teddy artist is Jeanél Vermeulen whom I can only describe as 'giving each teddy she makes a life of their own'. My handmade bear collection consists of about 26 big bears and about 13 small/tiny bears (couple of 'em I made myself). The most difficult one I've ever made was called Mr Potts.

I collect the Cherished Teddies figurines (availble at Hallmark, and other places). It isn't therapeutic, I just like them because they are cute. =)
