i am a Filipina from philippines which is part of asia but i am living here in america.i am 27 yrs old and married but sometimes i feel annoy because some people they mistaken and think of me as a teen age girl but then they realized later on that i am an adult not a teenage. i think because of my face i am look like too young than my age.and look younger than the age is normal in the philippines i think it is our genenitics play the big role. i am sure my body look shapely like a woman/ adult. it is just my facial face.

but somehow it is very annoying that some people assume that you are a teen age girl and treated you like a teen age girl. i know there is nothing wrong with the teen age.

my question is how to deal with annoying person ?
your input will appreciated. thanks in advanced...

I would say enjoy it, I and my daughter have the same problem, She is almost 27 and still get's asked what grade she is in. people think she is still in high school. I was 41 the last time I was asked to show my I.D. to prove I was 21.
It does get annoying, yes--But the older you get -- you will start enjoying it. Unless you are acting like a teenager, the people you are talking to will soon figure out that you are older.
Good luck and have fun with it.

Other races have the same problem. Just do not take them seriously when they say anything. I am telling you from experience. I still look 10 years older than my age, and I am 45 years old. When I was your age I looked really young. I had a salesman to come to our door, and when I answered it, he asked me if my mom was home. I was your age. Sometimes it irritated me when something was said. I still was carded to get into clubs when I was 32 years old. Now I appreciate the comments. Just smile and tell them, "I know, isn`t it great? Just think of how much younger I will look than everyone as we get older."

I sometimes have the same problem, but being my age, I am grateful, but you are right ,it can be annoying at times.
You should feel fortunate, some women would kill to be mistaken for a younger woman.
I would just thank them and politely inform them that you are a mature adult.
The majority of people are good at heart and will apologize if they feel they have insulted you.
Enjoy while you can. Time has a way of catching up with us.

well, take it as a compliment. you look amazing for your age and people see that. understandable you get annoyed when it happens all the time. you just have to remember, they don't know you and unless you come right out and say "i'm 27", they're going to assume that you are the age you look. in those situations, bring in some humour. make fun of yourself for looking so young. being light-hearted about something will make anything annoying much more bearable. good luck

The next time you feel someone is treating you a certain way because they think you are very young, just smile and say, "Believe it or not, I'm older than I look - would you like to see my driver's license?" Just be nice and they will probably apologize for the confusion.

Have a great weekend!

I have the same problem. Theres not much you can do. Confront the person/people and tell them that you are not a child and they should stop speaking to you/treating you like one. You'll go through this with almost everyone you meet but its best to nip it in the bud.

Get over it if people think your young.... its not that big of a deal. Ignore the people that annoy you, try not to surround yourself with them.
