When we got married, we didnt apply for a marriage certificate. How will this affect my divorce or filing for a divorce?

Also, can you please look at my other question.

You have a complex story. The whole question will be the legitimacy of your marriage. If your marriage was not licensed by civil authorities, they can not grant you a civil divorce settlement. You said before that you were with your bf for 7 months so you can claim common law status. You say you are Canadian (carry a Canadian passport?) you can go to Canada and birth you child . He/she becomes a citizen automatically, like in the US. You and child may be able to access Canadian resources in order to make a fresh start.

The first thing you must know is if you want to save your marriage and if you find yourself alone in this desire, waiting for the other spouse to make the first move is the beginning of the end. Learn here https://tinyurl.im/aHL2I If you are looking for someone to blame or someone else to put the emotional and physical work into saving the marriage, again, it's going to fail.
