During the cave men times men spent their times hunting prey , scouting and other energy taking jobs. Their bodies and psychologies adapted to that way of life. Nowadays boys (and men) don't need to do that so they get rid of the restlessness that comes with not doing anything strenuous with physical games - namely sports.

In the human species, only the males have taken up the role of earning the bread. They only go outdoors often. Hence, they show more inclination for sports than women.

It's tradition, if it wasn't for man there would be no sports. you see about one million years ago the caveman walked around with a club and he said "what can I do with this" so he pick up a rock...well the rest is history.

Because are competetive creatures from birth on.. They love the action, the winning and losing and the rooting for your favorite team part.. Drinking beer and eating munchies and watching cheerleaders doesn't bother them either.

Because competition is in their blood. It is encoded in their DNA to try to be the very best at something, and to do that, they must compete with each other. I believe that boys think that girls want to be with the winner, and guys like to hang out and talk about the winners too.

Competition. Most guys couldn't live if there wasn't something to try to win. The thrill of the hunt as it were.

Satisfies many human needs - ego, herding instinct, need to be accepted, group mentality, etc . . .
Why do females like sports, so much???
They want to 'fit' in with the guys, and go along for the ride?
