BMW started out as a manufacturer of airplane engines. The logo is a spinning propeller against a blue sky.
BMW was forced to stop making plane engines after the Nazis lost WWII, because the Allies didn’t want to have to chase any more BMW powered war planes ever again.

BMW was a airplane making company. during WWII they produced some of the most lethal planes for the Nazis. after the war they were band from producing planes. the mark is a propeller against the blue sky. in reference to their aeronautic history.
