No way. The best player ever is MJ cause he could do everything. Points, rebounds, assists, you name it.
Shaq is a great center, but that's it. Ask him to make a free throw, to dribble the ball or shoot a 3 pointer and he's screwed.

Hell no I believe the best player to ever play the game was mj this is a guy that had all the skills great shooting, great passing, good rebounding and blocking for a guard. Top 4 defender in his days. I dont even think that shaq is the best at his position. Olujawon is the best. Olujawin have won rebounding titles, defensive player of the year, and before he had a problem with his heart was someone who could give you 25-26 points a game throughout his career without having an excellent point guard such as magic johnson or steve nash around him.

SHAQ would be the 1st to tell you he's not he best player ever. I would go on record and say he's the most dominant player ever though. Even now at 70% of what he once was he is still hard to stop. He constantly faces double and triple teams during games. Once he gets the ball on the low block lookout because he it comes. His free throw shooting could obviously be better. He is not even one of the top 5 players of all time. I would place him in the top ten though.

in shaqs prime he was coniderd to be one of the best centers to ever play but now that he is older he has slowed down alot. when shaq was in his younger years he was fast and he had a killer spin move. i think that shaq neads to retire right now at the top and he will go down as one if not the best player to ever play the game of basketball.

I think he is a great player, but not the best ever. That would have to be Micheal Jordan.

Sorry, but a person of his height and size should be able to dunk the ball. Besides, he is one of the worst free throw shooters ever. To me, he does not rank in the top 50

Maybe the best big man but not overall player. In clitch time MJ was the best.

I don't like the guy and from where I'm sitting he is not the best player in the NBA.The guy is just a big bully.
