It depends...how many years has the 8th grader had to repeat in school. Of course then you have the problem of mental capacity to deal with the relationship...

It might not end up being wrong in this case, but take a look at all these responses. There are a lot of people who would be more than happy to stick the senior in high school in jail. That should be a huge consideration because even though the senior in high school might not be that mature, people will sure as hel* stick that senior in prison with hardcore rapists, murderers and long-time institutionalized folk.

yeah the age difference is just way too big the senior can be looked at as almost an adult the 8th grader is still a child she's not even in high school yet 8th grade is middle school and the senior is in it's last year of high school while the little girl still has four years before she graduates doesn't that seem a little odd??

In some states I think there is a problem. You need to be aware that there is quite an age difference. And the senior is just about reaching the statutory rape charge. Step away from the 8th grader!

Absolutely. What on Earth would a High School Senior find interesting in an 8th grader? No car. 8:00 pm curfew. And no sex or you risk PRISON!

Yes. Besides the fact that all your friends will ridicule you to no end, if she has any older brothers or a dad, chances are they will not approve at all.

And legally, even if you are 17 and she is 14, I imagine you are going to be 18 pretty soon, and I imagine she just recently turned 14, so in many states this is now legally statutory rape.

I just don't see the point of putting yourself through all that. Tell her that if she likes you that much, maybe you'll date her in 4 years, when she is 18.

All of you need to grow up and mature FASTTT! ASAP! This is crazy! Do yahoo have age limit or maturity limit in this place? When I went to school in 1965, there was a senior guy that I know who dated an 8th grade girl. It was a bit taboo then, but you know what? They have been married 41 years this year, and they seem happy still, so I guess that in that case it wasn't wrong. They apparently have loved one another for a long time.

Indeed! You've had a lot more life experience than he or she, and when you graduate in a few months everything will change whether you like it or not. It's not fair to date them in the end, they have a lot of learning left to do before graduation, even before high school, as do you! If you were 28 and they were 23 or 24 that would be one thing, you guys would have more in common because you would have more life experience, but they are about to go through some very major changes just like you, and it can't end well.

you're not any further weird and wonderful, it type of is smart, even though it likely isn't the perfect idea. I do believe you on the adulthood concern, believe me, yet human beings may no longer see it that way. Plus finally, no matter if that is not already, it will likely develop into unlawful. you may be graduated from intense college, relationship a freshman isn't an staggering idea. all and diverse will likely call you a pedo & her mothers and fathers is normally pissed in the experience that they locate out.

No,not at all...well i dont think so everyone is going to have a differant opinion of course...my mom and dad are 6 years apart.
And if you think it might be because you are or soon will be 18 and she is a minor think of it this way....no matter how many years apart unless you twins(wich would be wrong by the way) the couple is always going to have somone 18 and one considered a minor.
hope i have helped you!
:)...........you get a smiley!
