It sickens me that this is such a one sided country, you can racially discriminate against whites and discriminate against gays but god forbid we suggest that blacks are given more opportunities with college, lower requirements in test scores in the philadelphia police department and so on... A friend (white) recently tested in the phl police academy, scored way higher than the black candidates yet did not make it in because of the racist so called equal rights to allow a larger percentage of blacks to enter to satisfy the black quota? what is it with that? Is this why Obama is being pushed for president, I have yet to see what is so great about him.

for that one person who assume I pulled the test score facts out of a hat.... I visited the academy and have seen the result they are listed by race since the affirmative rights requires it so that non white are aware of "equal treatment"

And to those who choose to continue punnishing whites for the sins of a few ...shame on you, would you then accept that some who choose to hate blacks for thier color share your ideas of what goes around comes around?

Affirmative Action actually gives preference to minorities. It was established after slavery was abolished to help African-Americans get established in this country. Unfortunately there has been NO amendments to the statutes of Affirmative Action and "equal rights" is a load of crap. I know this will make some people unhappy but I believe in EQUAL rights, not BETTER rights if you are a certain race. For example there are more scholarship programs that only African Americans qualify for - actually I don't know of any that are specifically for Caucasians, not to say there aren't any, I Just don't know about them - if there were to be too many of them for just Caucasians I think WE would be called racist for it.
To answer your first question, it's the right to free speech. He can say what he wants, even if it hurts people. He shouldn't say slanderous things but such as life...
BTW, just so we are clear, I am not racist. I don't care "what" people are, I care about "who" they are.

I think we live in a society that feeds of things like this...I mean really who said what about who and oh no did you hear what so and so said about these people...really now.. as a civilized society we should be able to get beyond all this I am better or superior or what ever hoopla.....I am not saying the comment was right..no comment that offends someone else is .....what is happening is one big racial profile, and lets include anyone who may be different in on this profile...What classifies us as being different any way's, who is considered normal? We need to get over it and stop making such a big deal about it..Don't feed into it, then maybe it will go away....stop thinking well I am better or worse off because of what ever race or religion or sexual orientation you might be in...Just ignore it...when people ignore negative comments they tend to go away...why...because we are not feeding into it....I don't want to sound harsh or come off like I am minimizing the situation...I am just tired of it all...We are all in the same boat...black, white, Muslim, Christian, gay, straight, poor, rich...what ever...suck it up buttercup.....and that goes for us all....

You have problems, how the hell do you know about who scored higher on a police academy test? making assumptions huh... some of you are getting all riled up but I bet you or maybe your parents were sitting around enjoying the benifits of being considered better than black folks, think of it like this if you all would not have been excluding us before because of color there would never have been a need for affirmative action and considering your rant there is good reason why it is still in place today... and yeah what Isiah said was absolutely horrible but they are just words and we have freedom of speech so, so what? ( loads of white folks was saying that exact thing when michael richards went on his rant) and to all the white women, who are speaking against affirmative action and saying black have an unfair advantage... affirmative action works for you too so maybe some of you got jobs that you have only "because you are a woman"

Because it is easier for them to be martyrs than positive role models for change. The militant hate just brings more money into their coffers.
I used to belong until I understood that it was just a group of hate mongers, no better than the Klan or the Jihadists. Boo on NAACP.

It isn't the job of the NAACP to police the words that come out of every Black person's mouth in as much as no other organization polices every word that comes out of any other ethnicity's mouth. This country has freedom of speech. Just as you have the right to your racist riddled diatribe above, the grey's anatomy actor has the right to feel however he wants to feel about gays. If anybody should be saying anything, he should apologize to the person he insulted and that's all that needs to be done about it.

THAT'S VERY SIMPLE. PRIMARILY, THE NAACP WAS PUT TOGETHER FOR THE PROTECTION AND DEFENSE OF AFRICAN AMERICANS FROM WHITE RACISM AND LYNCHINGS. NAACP IS AN ACRONYM FOR: National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.

Does the naacp still exist? I did not know they were even in existence anymore because there are so many issues that they have not taken a stand on I thought they had been dissolved.

Affirmative Action is a program that presumes that all caucasians are inherently racist. It is offensive and unfair.
