Personally I would still stick with Vick.
Give him a better running back, a couple of good corners and a new set of coaches. Then you will find a much happier and consistent QB.
I wouldn't want to face Vick if he went to a better team.

But I would see him well in the Raiders rebuilt. They need some rush and speed there.

Arthur Blank and the coaching staff need to evaluate this very thoroughly and make a sensible decision. What you said is completely true and has hurt the Falcons immeasurably in terms of team sucess. Although he is a great athlete with a lot of skills, he has yet to mature into a true NFL quarterback in my opinion and shows no leadership. The fans are for the most part against him particularly after giving them the finger after a game. The Falcons need to think about what is best for the organization at this time and unfortunately money plays a big part in it all.

well, its not all vick's fault. i basically agree with you, but he's had coaching troubles, rb troubles, receiver troubles, and the falcons never really came up with an o that he could work out of- which is stupid because they knew what they were getting when they drafted him, indicating that they would be willing to stray from the traditional approach at QB.

the falcons need a running back like jamal anderson or someone, rather than an oversized one and an undersized one like vicks had to work with, and they need a good receiver- they haven't had anyone who can get open since vicks been there.
and now, with mora gone, maybe they'll come up with something that can work as far as an offensive scheme.

Vick doesn't have character issues, he doesn't have any character. Most of his problems are caused by basic stupidity.
