I know abosolutely nothing about chemistry. Where do I begin to study chemistry? Start with periodic elements? Atoms? Molecules?

Can anyone give me an online link to "learn chemistry easily?" Im out in the woods on this subject. Easy tutorials would be helpful.

Geez... get yourself a popular book on chemistry to get your head around what an atom is, what an element is.

Basically the smallest amount of an element (like Gold, or Oxygen) you can have is a single atom. What element an atom is, is determined by its 'atomic number' which means how many protons are in the nucleus which is normally measured by the number of electrons. You need to look up the basic terms if this is going over your head - a molecule is a combination of atoms bonded together.

I'd get a popular book on chemistry, or just browse online but I expect your teacher will cover the basics in the lessons. Just remember, in class there's no such thing as a dumb question. If you're curious about anything - ask. Its how you learn. The teacher is there for you. Good luck.

I personally think chemistry is absolutely fascinating.

If you want to take CHEM 101 start with the scientific method which is the basis for any chemistry(college chemistry, organic chemistry). If you are not planning to return the textbook, then use the CD which is attached to the textbook. They have tutorials for problem solving and quizzes, tests. These are not giving to count towards your final grade for the course(unless your instructor says) but you can learn a lot about them. If you dont understand anything from lecture given by your instructor, then use the CD which will help you with lots of examples. I got A in the class. Good luck!

Go to the library and check out Chemistry for Dummies or Chemistry the Easy Way or the Complete Idiot's Guide to Chemistry. Also, never try to miss any of your classes, read your lab course before doing it and go to the Professor's office hours - teachers love it! Good Luck!!!
