all of a sudden stopped answering my phone calls. I loaned her a book that I had gotten from the library, and on occasion I tell her that I need the book , or the library is going to make me pay for it. She was coming over my house using my phone, computer, eating food, and basically just telling me about her problems. Well when she went back to work, all of a sudden she doesn't want to talk to me. Any ideas why?

I do not know where she is currently living. I have the feeling that she doesn't even know where the book is herself.

Well, if she was a so called friend-she wouldn't of used you. Sorry to say-you gave in too quick.

Sounds like she is a user... very self-absorbed, and just uses people. On the other hand, being very busy/overwhelmed with a new job is somewhat understandable. Suggest going over to her house when you know she is home, even waking her up if needed, getting the book, and letting her know her behavior is unacceptable.

It seems like she was using you when she didn't have anyone else and now she has probably found new friends at work. Go to her house and get the book back and then you never have to talk to her again
