i must say Robert Jorden, his stories have very much surpassed tolkiens in every aspect. when it comes to the wheel of time series i was absolutly amazed on his depiction and development of so many charactors of his stories as well as the detail of the story it self. to explain on part, he incorperated action comedy romance/drama, mystery, sci fi type history so well in this fantasy series that even the least likly readers would find the book quite interesting.
as an up and coming writer i very much aplaud his skill unfortanatly he is american and not english but i think worth mentioning none the less

I personally like Oscar Wilde very much, though he is Irish.
And I also like W.Shakespeare, even though I've only read Hamlet, and it was very good.
