It was the hot book everyone was talking about a few years back. I read it and didn't see the movie. I really didn't like the book very much. It wasn't that it was depressing, I just didn't think it was... it wasn't bad, exactly, it just didn't absorb me and it was predictable (not in a plot way because you get the plot from the title - but in a how the characters felt and acted way.)

in short I thought it was overrated. I didn't see the movie and haven't read more books by him.

Somebody, somewhere must have liked it a lot in order to make it into a movie. I saw the movie with actor JAMES WOODS. It was OK. It didn't motivate me to run out and read the book the way some movies do.

Try Jeffery Eugenides book called Middlesex.
It is a memoir about his life. =)

I enjoyed it. I observed the action picture and relatively enjoyed it and then theory the e book could be greater advantageous (isn't it consistently). I even have it upstairs, I could reread! i admire that there is not any primary "satisfied ending".

I found Middlesex much better
