I'm looking for the best overall laptop for the money between Acer As3690 (400 dollars) and the HP pavilion dv6000z (550 dollars). I am a college student and also frequently use my PC for music listening and games. I would like a notebook with crisp graphics and a fast processor. Thanks for your help. If anyone knows of a better buy in the 500-900 dollar price range let me know.

If you are just concer money, then Acer is cheaper than HP.

I've always been a fan of the HP laptop. Usually more heavy duty and longer lasting than other brands.
