I am working at one place right now, where I do not have any problem.I tried for another job and I am offered a good money and a position. They called me and give me an offer letter also. But, after giving lot of thoughts and talking to my wife,I feel my present job is more suitable to me,mentally as well as physically. So, how do I refuse a new job offer, by not harming my credibility and relations with them?

I would call the recruiter (or whomever you dealt with to get the position) and just say, "I'm sorry, I have found another position that better suits me, I wish you and your company the best." Or you could send a letter, but if you've already accepted the position and they're expecting you to start, they'll probably appreciate the timeliness of a phone call. Keep it short and sweet, don't make excuses or babble. Just the facts, ma'am.

Write a formal letter to the perspective new employer telling them you have already found a position and thanking them for their interest in you. Keep it just as short as what I have just typed to you and send it off. You do not owe any further explanation to anyone. Hope this helped.

just be honest and tell them what you have told us... that you have considered what it means to your personal life and at this time the position is not suited for you. The only way your credibility can be harmed is to lie and be caught. I found that being straight forward is always appreicated.

Call the hiring manager and be honest. Tell him or her that although it is a great offer with a great company, but it would be the best interest for you and the company to decline the offer.

Call them and tell them you found a job that can help you in life. But if it's money you want go for it.

Just let them know. They will be able to replace you... They can't eat you.
