do you have the pad? if not youll need a dozer. underground utilities well electricty phone you gotta make sure all that can be put in place and its not gonna be to costly to many people over look that. then draw your plans make sure you have a general engineer and architect take a look at them contractors are good if you like paying fines every week from a building inspector decide if your gonna go with conreate foundation wood, wood frame or metal frame, timing is real important try to get the outside done before winter make it a priorty you should know all that mainly just check with codes and laws in your state thats the biggest *****

Buy several books on becoming your own general contractor. Don't try any of this without plenty of knowledge or you will hardly save money in the long run. go to Barnes & Noble, Borders or even Home Deport or Lowes to pick up these books

Get an arichitect to do the design and a contractor to do the cosnrtuction....

have a design ... check zoning...line up contractors for bids.... aquire funding... file for permits...build!
