considering Honda doesn't live up to the buzz , id say neither, they are both way over priced, if u look at Toyota and Nissan, with Nissan being #1 you will get the quality that ur looking for plus more for ur money especially with the sentra or altima...another plus with going with Nissan is they have better more powerful engines and they have cvt transmissions, they work so well, honda also require more scheduled maintenance the both Nissan and Toyota, to bad Honda doesn't sale as many cars as Nissan or Toyota

Both the Civic and the Accord are awesome. It just depends on what you're looking for in a car. If you want more room and luxury, go with the Accord EX. If you are looking for fuel efficiency with a lot of standard equipment, the Civic EX is right for you.
As for improvements, the Civic just underwent a redesign for the 2005 model year and Honda usually does that on a five year rotating calender. Look for the new Civic in 2010.
As for the Accord, the 2008 will be redesigned and look much sportier. I have only seen pictures of the coupe, but I am confident they will be applying the same changes to the sedan.
Test drive both and see which one you like better. The Accord EX is going to start at $23,945. The Civic Ex is going to start at $20,105. These are both with automatic transmission. Manual is going to be about $1200 less on both models.
Hope this was helpful.

I'd go with the accord honestly. Since the price is so close, I'd want the car that offers more luxury without sacrificing the sportiness. The Accord ex's come with a 240hp engine, and I believe you can get a 6 speed manual transmission, that would make the car lots of fun to drive. The civic has 140hp I believe, just doesn't sound fun to me. If you are after fuel economy, the civic has beter gas mileage, no doubt. As far as style goes, it is your opinion, but I think there is something sexy about the *** of the new accord coupes. Depending on wether or not you want the additional options, some are only available on the Accord, like leather, navigation, 6 speed manual...
I'd say accord. There are way too many plusses compared to the civic's only plus of getting better gas mileage.

I would go with the Accord Ex w/ Navigation. I just got this car and love it. The voice recognition system is fun to play with and helpful in keeping your eyes on the road. The Civic has an odd instrument panel and I found myself looking all over the place in the car for just basic things like speedometer, gas gauge, stereo controls etc.
Civic also wasn't available with leather...and the patterned fabric is sort of ugly. The accord is luxurious, has a relaxed ride and just makes you feel like you spent the extra 10k on the Acura TL, even though you didnt!
They are both good cars, and will hold their value, last a long time. Take your time and consider what you may be planning in the next 3 to 5 years and pick the one that will suit your needs now, and in the future because once you get into your honda, you wont want to give it up.

Honda are not expensive and if you consider them expensive, how long have you read the car magazines? They seem to be #1 and #2 for longer then Nissan and Toyota. I'm not saying thay are bad car but Honda is proof that a car company can go 300 miles and still work! Honda to me is a good investment: Last extremelly long, have amazing gas mileage, have some what cool style!
I also went to a dealership (in ilinos) and he can't hold on to certain models. Nissan is covered with cars. Same with Toyota!!
But anyway:
An accord has a lot more room so if you have a family go with an accord
A civic is probably for a single or newlyweds

If you want better gas mileage then get the civic. If you want a smoother ride, get the accord. I have the civic. I like it for the gas mileage and b/c it still looks a bit sportier than the accord
