I never liked these because they never taught you how to do anything except guess and check.

(5-3)x2+8x(5-2) would work. First you simplify the stuff inside the parenthesis.

2x2+8x3

Multiply first

4+24

28

You don't want the 8x5 together, and for the last few terms, either ---x5-2 OR -----+24 look feasible. The first was eliminated quickly, leaving:
((5-3)x2) + (8x(5-2)) = (2x2) + (8x3) = 4 + 24 = 28
