The truth in the movie was the museum scene. Wooly mammoths have been found frozen, with fresh flowers in their stomachs. The rest of the movie was pure speculation and a fairly good story.
But the existing evidence, which is real, of the possibility that climate could change radically in a short time makes you wonder, doesn't it?

Not far... I love natural disaster movies... that one runs a close second to Armegeddon for me....what is scary is that not 3 days after I saw that movie for the first time (I bought the DVD for myself when it came out).. the Tsunami hit in Asia... I was so terrified and emotional for those people because I had JUST watched that movie and didn't watch it again for like 6 months!!

not sure how far off reality it could be...i know around here the weather has been CRAZY and ive been a bit phreaked out by it..keeping in mind that movies overly exaggerate things i would say maybe not on the maginitude that the movie portrayed it but i think it could happen similar to that to some degree...id say go rent "an inconvient truth" and make your own judgement after seeing that....

Sadly, it would be much worse. If there is a nuclear strike there will most definitely not just be one of them and there will be plenty of retaliatory strikes as well. The main deterrent to nuclear war is nuclear holocaust.

That movie was awful..I'd rather just wait for the real thing, than have to watch that movie again.

Somewhat I guess, very very very exaggerated and stretched, not in mass destruction, but in the events that take place.
