Mine would be "Still Holding On" by the Crabb Family. Why? Well, I had the seed of God planted in my heart when I was a little girl. When I got old enough, however, I started partying with a bunch of friends. The next thing I knew, the friends were all gone and I was in a mess. I did every drug that one could possible imagine with the exception of only a couple. Worse than that, I was a horrible, pathetic alcoholic. I would start drinking at 7 or 8 in the morning and continue til I passed out. Then I'd get up and do it all over again. I was miserable. Then, one day, I felt the tug of God on my heart. Thank God for that seed being planted when I was a little girl. I went to church and gave all of the hurt to Him. I've been following the Lord ever since and my life has done a 360. It's not ever easy...but he always sees me through. Part of the song says,
"You know, my life was in shackles until the day you came along.
You turned my tears into laughter.
Lord, you gave me a brand new song."
I suppose it is my theme song / testimony / reminder when I get down.
